President Donald Trump has never hidden the fact that he really enjoys eating fast food.

Even at 80 years old, the billionaire is known to scarf down items from his favorite quick-service restaurants like McDonald’s, Wendy’s, and KFC.

In contrast, the current Trump-appointed Secretary of Health and Human Services, built a reputation for promoting a healthy eating lifestyle.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 72, became the face of food quality advocacy for many Americans.

The “Make America Healthy Again” movement leader choosing to align with the processed food-loving Republican shocked many of his followers.

The nephew of the late Democratic President John F. Kennedy spoke about his experience with Trump’s dining choices while appearing on the “Net Positive with John Crist” podcast.

“I don’t eat fast food anymore if I can help it. Unless President Trump makes me do that,” RFK Jr. admitted on the episode.

Trump prefers to eat from “national chains” when he is traveling out of fear of being poisoned, according to Kennedy.

“If he buys it from a little local place, he’s scared that it’ll have some contaminant in it,” RFK Jr. revealed. Apparently, the White House and Mar-a-Lago offer fresher options.

On his time traveling with Trump on flights, he added, “When you get on his airplane, it’s just boxes and boxes of McDonald’s.”

The Harvard University graduate was then asked if he ever told Trump that his fast-food diet was hurting the MAHA agenda. Kennedy responded, “No, I mean … Look, I’m not like a scold.”

On Aug. 3, a clip of RFK Jr. discussing Trump’s apparent obsession with consuming Mickey D’s made the rounds on social media.

“How is boxes and boxes of McDonald’s healthy?” one person on X wondered in response to the HHS head’s comments. 

Wisecracks also started flying online. For instance, the Air Force One presidential airplane was renamed “Fast Food One” by one jokester.

“It must smell like hell in there.” suggested another Trump critic.

The incontinence banter continued on Threads when someone reacted to the video of RFK Jr. discussing Trump’s eating habits by writing, “IT MUST SMELL LIKE A–”

Another poster on the platform expressed, “Good grief,” while an additional commenter simply wrote, “Despicable.” 

Kennedy implying he does not want to scold the POTUS over his meals prompted one poster to wonder, “And why isn’t RFK lecturing Trump on what he should be eating?”

RFK Jr. likely wants to avoid getting on his notoriously vindictive boss’s bad side. Several Cabinet officials, such as former Attorney General Pam Bondi, have already been fired this year.

Before officially joining the administration in 2025, Kennedy was put through what many people called a humiliation ritual.

Mere weeks after Trump won the 2024 presidential election, his oldest son shared a now-infamous image from a plane ride.

Donald Trump Jr., 48, seemed to be trolling his dad’s HHS Secretary pick just ahead of the Thanksgiving holidays.

The viral picture featured Don. Jr, his father, RFK Jr., House Speaker Mike Johnson, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. They were seated at a table filled with McDonald’s sandwiches and fries.

Critics accused the MAHA general of abandoning his principles so he could be seated next to the new political power brokers set to control the Executive Branch.

That “hostage photo” came less than a week after another high-profile RFK Jr. podcast appearance. At the time, he made waves for his remarks about Trump’s food preferences during the campaign.

“The stuff that he eats is really like bad,” Kennedy told Genius Network founder Joe Polish during a live edition of the podcaster’s show. Members of the audience broke into laughter.

He resumed, “Campaign food is always bad, but the food that goes onto that airplane is like just poison… You’re either given KFC or Big Macs. That’s like when you’re lucky, and then the rest of the stuff is, I consider, kind of inedible, but I was eating it.”
