Your help is urgently needed to support a Black community activist!

On Tuesday June 7, 2022, while attending a hearing for dozens of people arrested in May at the Capitol demanding ‘Just Cause’ legislation statewide, a Black woman activist and organizer was arrested and is now being charged with various misdemeanors (the initial felony charge was tossed out by the court).

According to the Times Union, she was trying to film the proceedings which prompted police to target her, restrain her, and confiscate her phone. This is the action from which the allegations stem. As a result, she was arrested and subsequently lost her job.

We must come together to support this community member in this moment!
