A resurfaced viral video is sparking fresh backlash, proving that racism respects neither borders nor boundaries.
A Black Scottish woman, who goes by Court on TikTok, originally posted the interaction on a train with a woman in August of 2025.
The video begins with Court accusing the woman of spraying disinfectant before sitting behind her and telling her to “go back to your own country.”
The woman then responds back saying that her comments had nothing to do with the color of Court’s skin.
Other passengers also challenged the woman’s comments, telling her she was wrong.
Court thanks the passengers for standing up for her, saying she knew the woman was being racist.
In a bold assertion, the woman replies, ‘I am indeed’.
Fed up, Court starts giving the woman a history lesson on why you should keep your mouth shut.
“I was born here.” she said. “I’m mere Scottish than you are probably.”
However, Court says the woman had more to say. According to her, the woman started her tirade again after most passengers got off at a stop.
“I’m trying to stay calm after a very long day,” the woman tells her.
Court immediately responds to the woman’s lackluster excuse. “I’m trying to stay calm after you said really mean things to me. Telling me to go back to my own country when I’m born here. Because of the color of my skin.”
The woman again tries to deny that she made the comments because Court is Black. However, Court doesn’t believe her, arguing that the woman would never have made the same comments to a white person.
The passenger then tries to move the goalposts, claiming she never said those words. But when Court points out that she’s recording, the woman goes back to her earlier excuse that she’s simply had a long day.
“I’m sorry you had a bad day, but you can’t just go around saying that to people,” Court tells the woman.
Unable to explain herself, the woman falls back on an age-old line.
“You got no respect for your elders.”
“I have no respect for people who are racist,” Court responds, visibly baffled. “Do I respect you? Hell no! I’m not respecting you.”
The woman then goes on a complimenting spree to try and get back into Court’s good graces.
“Your nails look great. Everything about you looks great. I’ve just had a hell of a f**king day,” she says.
Court, unimpressed by the comments, ends the video with one final thought.
“It doesn’t justify being racist; that’s all I’m saying. You get on with your life, and I’ll get on with mine.”
Social media users on Atlanta Black Star’s Instagram page commended Court on her poise when handling the woman.
“You’re such a fine example of class and dignity. A rude, racist person, regardless of age, doesn’t deserve respect. It is earned,” one user wrote.
“You did amazingly well. I’m just sorry you had to deal with it,” another agreed.
Others pointed out that the woman was seemingly jealous of Court’s look and life.
“A bad day? Sounds like she has had a bad life and, out of jealousy and fear, took it out on a young, beautiful, lovely young lady,” one person commented.
As one person put it, “They hate us because they could never be us.”
