The 69-year-old’s candid thoughts and self-assured attitude are pulling in views from young and older fans.

Just last month on “The Jason Lee Show,” Mills raised eyebrows by calling Lady Gaga a “culture vulture” and sharing more about her relationship with Michael Jackson.

This week she attracted attention with her appearance on the Nov. 4 edition of “Club Shay Shay,” where she offered an interesting perspective on the topic of infidelity.

The discussion reignited an age-old debate about whether someone should stay with a partner after infidelity.

Podcast host and former NFL player Shannon Sharpe asked, “Should cheating automatically lead to breaking up?”

With candor, Mills said, “Now, a younger me would have said yes. But an older and more mature, why would you let a woman have something that you built?”

She continued, “If she wants to be the side woman, she better stay the side woman and out of my sight and away from me.”

Mills used late NBA star Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa Bryant’s 2003 cheating scandal as an example. She mentioned that Vanessa didn’t leave her marriage after Kobe cheated on her with a 19-year-old, and, according to Mills, Vanessa “shouldn’t have.”

The discussion reignited an age-old debate about whether someone should stay with a partner after infidelity.

During the interview, Mills admitted she once confronted a woman who got involved with her husband.

She previously married Shalamar singer Jeffrey Daniel, late actor Dino Meminger, and radio programmer Michael Saunders. Her current husband is 10 years younger, though she keeps his identity private.

Mills did not confirm which of them stepped out on her, but she described how she confronted the woman.

“I would go to their house, knock on that door,” she said.

She later recalled one particular scenario where she climbed through the window instead of knocking on the door.

When Sharpe asked if her efforts led to her getting her man to come home, she said, “No, I really didn’t want him. I just wanted them to know my presence was there and that he shouldn’t have moved right around the corner for me. You moved right around the corner from me, I’mma get you.”

Mills added that if a woman is brave enough to call the house, then the wife should step to her.

She explained, “See this is the thing that you men don’t understand. When you cheat a woman is OK for a minute being a second. But then after a while they want you, they want to be number one.”

Mills said if a woman chooses to be a side chick, “then you got to accept the consequences of that because he’s not leaving me. That ain’t going to happen. I may leave him, but he’s not leaving me.”

Her outlook on infidelity led to differing opinions online.

One person explained how she would handle the situation and said, “He cheat….. that means I cheat, now we cheeetos!!!”

A second fan had another perspective and commented, “Hell naw if you can’t be faithful it’s a wrap idc what we built.”

A third person challenged people who said they would leave by writing, “I ain’t gone lie yall don’t be leaving regular men that cheat stop acting like yall would’ve left a millionaire lol cause me, NOT!!!!!”

Several celebrity couples have handled infidelity in different ways.

Beyoncé Knowles Carter turned lemons into “Lemonade” after Jay-Z admitted he cheated on her. She detailed their struggles and healing period during her 2016 project “Lemonade.” They not only stayed together, but she and the founder of Roc Nation expanded their family from one to three children.

However, La La Anthony and Carmelo Anthony didn’t make it as the Carters did. The “Reasonable Doubt” actress tried to save her marriage even after Anthony cheated and fathered a child outside their relationship.

But she ultimately filed for divorce in 2021, and a judge finalized it this month.

Artists like Tiny and T.I. separated but decided to stay together after allegations of cheating on both ends. One night in Las Vegas nearly cost comedic actor Kevin Hart his wife, Eniko Hart, and his family after his 2017 cheating stint that led to an extortion lawsuit.

After about seven years into their marriage, Cardi B and Offset tried to stick it out, but after Offset’s continuous cheating led to divorce. She had previously filed in 2020 and again in 2024, walking away for good.

Former “Love & Hip Hop” star Remy Ma and Papoose are also in the midst of a divorce after they both accused each other of cheating. They were married for 16 years.
