There are officially two Ushers in the game, or so some of his fans think.
The R&B artist stirred up discussion last month after rumors suggested he used a body double during his New Jersey tour stop with Chris Brown.
Though Usher debunked the theory, he recently embraced a second version of himself in Las Vegas.
At the Aug. 7 New Jersey show, fan-recorded clips went viral showing the “Trading Places” star performing.
Many thought he used an impersonator, saying the man didn’t look or dance like Usher. But he did support another version of himself in still form.
On Wednesday, September 2, the “Confessions” singer unveiled his very own Madame Tussauds wax figure, and there’s no debate on how striking the resemblance is.
Usher shared a joint Instagram post with the Madame Tussauds account, showing the moment he first saw the wax figure.
He announced in the caption, “I’ve officially made it back to Vegas permanently!!”
The wax figure features an outfit Usher wore during his Las Vegas residency from 2021 to 2023. The singer donated his own Vanson skeleton biker jacket and red roller skates —which he wore on stage in Vegas — to complete the display.
Completing the look, the statue was outfitted with gloves, a replica of the R&B star’s iconic diamond “U” chain, and his in-ear monitors.
Usher said, “Wow. Look at that guy,” as he walked over to the sculpture.
Taking a closer look at the details of the figure, he said, “He looks more like me than me.”
The “Caught Up” singer continued praising the Madame Tussauds team by telling them, “You guys got my eyes right. I’m blown away.”
Reflecting on the Las Vegas residency and the statue’s outfit, he continued, “I hope my fans who did not get to see that show, have a little bit of glimpse of the magic that was there for my very first Vegas residency.”
Over nine months, 20 studio artists worked on the figure to capture the star’s exact features.
Their craftsmanship drew widespread acclaim from fans online, who applauded the team for capturing the singer’s likeness with striking accuracy.
One person said, “Now that actually looks like the actual person. Have that person do all of them for now on even statues.”
Many wrote sentiments like, “This looks WAYYYY too real” and “Now that’s how you do a wax!!!”
Some even joked about the rumors of Usher having a clone, saying, “See? The fans swore up and down you had a double. Now look!”

A fan named Sunnya Sultan, who attended his New Jersey concert, told Today that she believed Usher really performed, but only for about 40 seconds.
She later said the performer who was portraying himself to be Usher had a really chiseled jawline and danced “too swiftly.”
Usher eventually responded to the speculation with a hilarious clapback on Instagram, saying, “Ya’ll are funny…clone? They can’t clone this??”
He then added, “How ya’ll come up with this? AI ain’t that advanced.”
Usher’s wax figure viewing comes ahead of his tour dates with Brown in Vegas, which take place on Sept. 5, 6, and 18.
